SCAA Weekly Meeting

Executive Board along with general members will meet once a week to discuss upcoming events, developement, and community service efforts.

Wine & Wonder

Wine & Wonder provides the opportunity to enjoy a glass of wine while exploring a a single work of art. It allows the SCAA (and visitors) to explore a work of art in great detail. The SCAA Executive Board will guide participants as they explore the emotional tone, symbolism, compositional elements and historical context of each work. This is an interactive and informal way of exploring and learning art. Other beverages will be provided for participants who are under 21 years of age.

Curating Events

We will help curate different exhibitions throughout Roanoke with the help of: Dialogue, Elenor Siddy Wilson Museum, & The Water Heater. At the end of each semester we will put together an exhibition organized entirely with Hollins University student work and Roanoke community artists.

Volunteering at Taubman Museum of Art

This is part of our community service commitment. Each member is required to volunteer at least once a week.

The India Project

Volunteering will include vendor sitting at public events, table sitting at Hollins University, collecting donations from businesses in and around the Roanoke area (and any other cities if more people who aren't in my area would like to get involved, I'll send you the supplies you need.)
